GARDENA CHALETS TRAVEL CANCELLATION COVERAGE
Occasionally, something can happen before the start of a trip. With our GARDENA CHALETS you are financially covered. Should a booked stay at the hotel be cancelled, cancellation charges can be redeemed in accordance with EU standards. In order to save you any expenses in such cases, we recommend you take out the GARDENA CHALETS TRAVEL CANCELLATION COVERAGE. The coverage premium amounts to 9% of the total cost of the booked stay and the fee payment must be made within 24 hours following the booking confirmation.
Cancellation reasons:
- unexpected serious illness of the insured guest, his/her children, parents or grandparents;
- serious accident of the insured guest, his/her children, parents or grandparents;
- significant damage to the guest's property (house or apartment) at his place of residence due to a natural event (e.g. fire) or criminal damage, necessitating his presence.
COVID-19
The TRAVEL CANCELLATION COVERAGE is valid in the following cases:
- if the guest who booked the stay, or a member of his family, is unable to carry out the trip because of Covid-19;
- if the guest who booked the stay is unable to travel due to quarantine (home isolation) because a member of his or her family has contracted the Covid-19 virus;
- if the country of origin or the destination country is classified as a risk zone ("red zone") and a travel restriction is issued accordingly.
Medical events leading to insurance claims must be confirmed in writing by the attending physician or by the responsible custodian. The GARDENA CHALETS TRAVEL CANCELLATION COVERAGE covers the cancellation of the entire reservation period and can be used to cover late arrivals or early departures.
